Hundreds of thousands of tee-time reservations are sold through GolfNow’s online tee-time marketplace each day. Through the new partnership with Sensible Weather, golfers booking tee times on GolfNow are being provided with the ability to mitigate their risk by purchasing an additional “Weather Guarantee” during the check-out process that will reimburse them up to 100 percent of their greens fee, depending on weather.

Here’s how it works:  When booking a tee time, golfers can add Sensible Weather’s  Weather Guarantee for a small fee. On the morning of the tee time, Sensible will monitor the forecast, issuing text alerts if rain is expected to exceed a pre-set threshold. If that happens, golfers receive an automatic refund – no claims or cancellations required. Reimbursements are covered 100 percent by Sensible Weather and are initiated instantly – even if the golfer still plays the round of golf.
